Minister

Rev. Ron Rosinsky

For over thirty years Ron Rosinsky has applied the insights of psychology and religion to bring healing to the human mind and soul.

Ron earned a Master of Theology from an American seminary and trained in a ghetto church in Chicago.  He never forgot that profound experience of a church as the beating heart of a community; an activist church that listened to and served the people, humbly enacting the Christian message of liberation- socially, economically, and personally.

Ron's first Australian congregation was St. Michael's on Collins Street, the largest Uniting Church at the time. He worked with the late Dr. Francis Macnab, a pioneering psychotherapist and Minister.  While serving as assistant Minister, he trained and worked at the Cairnmillar Institute in trauma counselling, and marriage and relationship therapy.

Since then, Ron has served diverse congregations, each one helping to change the brand of Christianity- to compassion, action and contemplation.  Along the way he also practised as a barrister; served as a chaplain in the Australian Army Reserve and was posted to Special Forces, where he did trauma counselling with soldiers.
